Let's All Go To The Movies!
My son Kevin wanted to see the movie "Inception" this past week and he asked me to join him. Of course I went, life goes by so fast and sometimes these kind of invitations don't come around that often.
The movie (Inception) stars Leonardo Dicaprio, Ellen Page (Juno) and Michael Caine.
I confess, I was completely confused from the very beginning, I thought, OH GOD I have to make it through 2 1/2 hours of this.
As I started to relax and just accept the fact that my middle aged brain was going to be confused for a while, the movie started to pull me in. It seems to be one of those films, like Blade Runner, or maybe even 2001 A Space Odyssey, that will just keep replaying in your head, long after the movie is over.
Inception is a story about what it might be like to be able to see into the
multi-layered dreams and nightmares of the central characters.
There is a story line that runs through and seems to pull it all together.
I won't be a spoiler here and tell you anymore of the details. So if this sounds like something that you might enjoy, embrace it, cause it's a wild trip that Kevin and I thoroughly enjoyed. I will see it again,(on video next time) just so I can grasp more of the intricate details that honestly, just flew over my head.
I will be away from blogging for the next week or so, summer is moving fast and I need to get out and enjoy more of it. My daughter is here for her birthday and I'm sure we'll be able to find a few things to keep us busy.
Take care everyone.

Thanks for the movie review, Peg. I will put it down on my Netflix reserve list. Sounds very intriguing.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...this movie is perfect for my husband. Thanks for reviewing it for us! We just received Avatar from Netflix and am looking forward to seeing that. We will put Inteception on the Netflix list when it becomes available.
