Welcome to Microfiction Monday.
Where a picture paints 140 characters.
Susan over at Stonyriver hosts Microfiction Monday The rules are simple,to use Susan's picture she posts then compose a story up to 140 characters including spaces and punctuation.
I wish all of my friends from Microfiction Monday a joyous Holiday.
I have enjoyed meeting all of you so much and look forward to 2011 for even more great stories.
So here is this weeks picture and my story to go with.
We're never going to get to Grandma's house for Christmas.
We asked the train conductor for the "Forest Park" station
not the FOREST!
Now leap on over to Susan's place and leave your name.
She even has a brilliant counter to help us count
As Susan promises, it's fast, it's fiction, it's fun!
Love the twist on the word "forest"! Clever micro!

ReplyDeleteWe have a couple of metro stops like that -- you have to be a local to really understand which one you need! It's the revenge on the tourists for blocking up the sidewalks. (Of course we need them for our income, but small matter, right?)
