Gracie checking out the new cat ornament!
A friend of mine sent this to me the other day and I thought maybe some of you would like to participate too.
When I was in college, I corresponded with a friend who was sent to Viet Nam as a helicopter pilot. He contacted me about ten years ago and thanked me for all my letters. I was really touched by his call, and thrilled that he made it home safely.
We stopped corresponding a couple of months before he was due to ship back home, so I never knew if he made it home safely.
When I saw this E-mail, I thought of him and knew that I wanted to do something. Even though it's such a tiny gesture, It still felt good!
If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.
How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! It is FREE and it only takes a second.
Whether we agree on the issues of war,... or not. We can all agree that the soldiers are fighting for us and putting their lives at stake every minute of everyday!
So wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these?
