I've been missing

I've been missing for a couple of weeks but now I've found my way back home. I have been keeping up with all my cyberfriends and reading their posts . I just love reading all of your posts and feel like I'm a tiny tiny part of your lives.

I have been helping my daughter launch her new cat product. It seems sometimes like we'll never get it finished. I went up to Chicago and we visited a fabric wholesaler...gosh this place was kind of dirty and dusty... but cheap..about half the Jo Ann's price so well worth it.
It seemed to take us forever to pick out our fabrics..a couple hours at least! We purchased four bolts of fabric and ten bags of what I call stuff in Trying to fit it all in our SUV along with ourselves was quite the feat. Thank god my husband is such a good driver ..because we had major blind spots to deal with.
Now on to the construction and sewing part..yep you guessed it...I'm not a great seamstress. I still have my singer sewing machine that my father bought for me when I was sixteen years old.. The same singer sewing machine that I managed to put the needle through my finger five different times....it was after the fifth time that I decided that i wouldn't be a fashion designer or more importantly sew my own clothes.

This summer has just flown bye for me, can't believe that it's almost September.

Until next time....stay well my friends.

  1. Yae! You're back! I've been waiting and waiting to see another post from you. Is that Kitty in that favorite sister-in-law photo?

I like the look of your new blog page. It's very original. I had to redo mine when KC played with the keys again. I was able to bring it back to the original look but I'm ready to try something new. I'd like to ask my brother to help since he's great at graphic design but we've been so busy.

Uh oh! They just found me again. I have to go. Sigh. I get no quiet blog time right now. It's either KC and her poopy diaper or Tif wanting to go somewhere. No, I'm not complaining... Well.... OK sort of... but this is a nice kind of busy.

How are you going to get the cat pillows sewn? You'll need to get a heavy duty sewing machine, no? Then again, those Singers were awfully sturdy, too.

Oh dear.... gotta go. Talk to you later.

  2. Wahoo! I was hoping that all is well for you. I also have a sewing machine given to me when I graduated from high school. I didn't get the sewing gene, though. I'm good at seams![after taking lessons more than once.] I now accept that with no guilt.
Your new design is beautiful. I have no idea how to do that stuff! Or side pictures, etc. I have a lot to learn. When my niece Katie returns to visit, I'm planning to tap into her skills.[She set up my blogging site.]

  3. I haven't heard about this venture with fabric and cats. I love to sew, wish I could help. I'll search your blog to see if I can find out more!

The summer flew by for me to, I can't believe it's September already.

Anyway, I'm glad you've found yourself and hope that you are feeling well.

  4. Well, I searched and found no news about the "new cat product." You're just going to have to fill us in.

I love what you've done to your blog! It just keeps getting better and better!
