Let's Celebrate and Be Happy.

“In every life we have some trouble, but when you worry
you make it double. Don't
worry. Be happy.”
Bobby McFerrin (1950 – )

I have missed you all these past two week and I am so sorry that I went "awoex" (away without explaining)
My husband and I had planned on going to Ohio to visit my Mom and be with her to celebrate her ninety second birthday. We ended up going earlier then expected, she was having problems with some of the staff at her assisted living facility and she was very unhappy.

I did bring my laptop with me, so that I could stay connected and post from Ohio. Unfortunately, my laptop took this opportunity to over heat and shut down. ( I really thought that I had fried it, I couldn't even get it to stay on for more then a few seconds at a time. Tisk!)

I am happy to report that everything worked out well, my Mom and my laptop are both doing much better.

I love visiting family and friends, but am happy to be home again, on my bed, and catching up with all my pals here in Bloggyville!
Thank you all for being so patient and concerned!

FYI, today, April 8Th, is National D.A.R.E Day. For those of you that didn't know that there was a special day set aside to thank teachers, police officers, youth leaders, parents, and volunteers for their hard work on the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) Program. These programs help to teach our children about the dangers of drug use and to encourage them to lead productive, drug free, and violence free lives. A parents dream for sure!

Along with the D.A.R.E program ,I personally will be celebrating the
"One Day Without shoes Day" which is also celebrated on this day. My feet are still a little swollen from the drive home, so I have released them from their confinement and am letting them CELEBRATE TOO. :)

  5. I'm glad that everything worked out so well, and that your Mom (and laptop and feet LOL) are all happy -- Happy Birthday to her!

My laptop's a Dell Inspiron that overheats every few months and I have to take the whole back apart to pull dust out -- a real pain, but otherwise it just shuts down, and seems to *know* when I'm in the middle of something important. grrrr!

    I'm glad you're back!

  9. *Whew!*

Not that you don't deserve time off for good behavior. But you have us so well trained to drop in for a spell that we were starting to worry.

Glad Mom is fine, hope her birthday was happy, glad your laptop is once again compliant...and that your tootsies have their own day!

Now, sit down and take a deep breath. Nagging over. ;)

  20. Thank goodness everything is OK, Peggy! I'm still recuperating from jet lag. I'm not quite back to blogging yet. There's so much to do around the house because my mom is not able to move around easily now with her bad knee. I'm worried about us leaving her in another 2 weeks.
