Microfiction Monday # 19

Welcome to Microfiction Monday,
where a picture paints 140 characters.
Susan over at Stonyriver hosts Microfiction Monday.

Here's this week's picture, and my story to go with it:

Since the Dixie Chicks' politics fizzled in Peoria,
they hoped their past would be forgiven
by joining the Touring Shakespeare Festival.

The rules are simple,to use Susan's picture she posts then compose a story up to 140 characters including spaces and punctuation.
Then hop on over to Susan's and leave your name. She even has a brilliant character counter to help us count.
As Susan promises, it's fast, it's fiction, it's fun!

  29. I wonder what the Bard's career might have been like if he'd taken a similar political stance... I'd guess a beheading would have been in the 'offing.' Nice one!

  32. My Nasty Romance:

You're probbly right. Ouch a beheading is far worse then the Shakespeare festival Political views can ruin a career, but thank goodness we have that right to express them or not!
