This week I picked MAD WORLD by Gary Jules. With The Tuscon Killings and the subsequent funerals, I found myself in deep sadness for all the victims. After the smoke cleared and the partisan name calling calmed down, I feel we are left with two very serious problems, depression and mental Illness and gun control.
Alone, each is a big problem, all together they continue to be a lethal cocktail..
"Mad World" is a very haunting song with a definite message..
Then on a happier note I found this song, "Feeling Good" sung by Jennifer Hudson, cause this IS how I feel now!

I have to admit I don't understand the gun culture in the States. I am glad we have much stricter gun control laws in Oz
ReplyDeleteI ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SONG! This is a perfect pick for the mood in the States at the moment. The guns will never go away, but I pray that people will now understand the importance of health care and supporting those in dire need. It's also truly sad that it takes a tragedy for people to realize how to be civil and love one another.
