Musical Monday

What is moving you today? Let us know, throw a video up on your blog and go over to Musical Monday, hosted by Amanda at Bloggin With Amanda ,...and please don't forget to leave a comment and your link while there.

This weeks theme was to pick my favorite band or group.  I had a real hard time picking just one group or band.  I know I could have picked a couple,... but that would have made it harder..
So today, January 30th, I pick Simom and Grafunkle as my fav.band or group.
Th first song is just great in my eyes.  Always makes me feel better no matter what.
The second song is one that my husband suggested.  It's one of his favorites and one that he continues to sing to me ,... even after decades of being together!

Have a great Musical Monday and a great week ahead!

When you're weary  Feeling small
When tears are in your eyes
I will dry them all I'm on your side

When times get rough And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

When you're down and out
When you're on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you

I'll take your part
When darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

Sail on Silver Girl,
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way

See how they shine
If you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind

As we marched down to Faneri-o
As we marched down to Faneri-o
Our captain fell in love with a lady like a dove
And they called her name pretty Peggy-o

Come a-runnin' down the stairs, pretty Peggy-o
Come a-runnin' down the stairs, pretty Peggy-o
Come a-runnin' down the stairs, combin' back your yellow hair
You're the prettiest little girl I've ever seen-o

In a carriage you will ride, pretty Peggy-o
In a carriage you will ride, pretty Peggy-o
In a carriage you will ride, with your true love by your side
As fair as any maiden in the ar-e-o

What will your mother say, pretty Peggy-o?
What will your mother say, pretty Peggy-o?
What will your mother say, when she finds you've gone away
To places far and strange to Faneri-o?

If ever I return, pretty Peggy-o
If ever I return, pretty Peggy-o
If ever I return, all your cities I will burn
Destroying all the ladies in the ar-e-o
Destroying all the ladies in the ar-e-o

  10. I was fortunate enough to see Simon and Garfunkle in concert about 7 years ago (can't believe it was that long ago!). They still sound incredible! They've always been one of my favorites!
