I must admit that I have been watching way too much coverage of this election. I guess I am one of those undecided voters that I hear so much about.
That said...I was really bothered this morning, more then I thought I would be, that demonstrators in St Paul attacked delegates while they were entering the convention center. Several delegates were injured and a liquid was sprayed. along with punches and spitting(yuck) A Has met team arrived and an elderly women was treated for breathing problems and others too I guess.
I also saw last week at the Denver convention, many demonstrators acting the same way. Spitting pushing.swearing...all the good stuff !
My gosh..we are entitled to free speech and for demonstrating when we feel that it's needed
But what's the deal here...?
I still consider myself a child of the 60's in my thoughts and in how I look at the world. I guess I had hoped that we were past this stuff.
I am being naive...right?
What ever happened to debating the issues civilly....something about religion and politics that really gets the blood flowing!
Some of the very same things are going on again now as was then. An unpopular war...an unpopular president.

I kinda think that the process is broken. And I have become very disillusioned with the people supposedly representing us.

I agree with you completely, of course. We need to be RESPECTFUL of each other's beliefs. Sheesh! Why oh why is that so hard to do?
