You gotta see this...made me grin from ear to ear!

I saw upon this video over at Utube this morning and I thought of all us ! We're definitely not over the hill as far as our dreams are concerned!
I was even misty eyed, and it's just another example that you have to follow and listen to what moves you, what ever drives you onward....cause it never seems to be too late!
Hope I formatted this right, I'm still not a geek yet, but it's still possible!
Anyway, If it doesn't come through for you go over to Utube and watch it there

Mare, this made me think of you!

  6. I just had my husband and son-in-law watch it after I did. I had heard about her, and had seen a short clip, but not the whole performance. It is inspiring for what she did, but also as a "wake-up call" about how we prejudge people.
    Wonderful!

  7. Linda;

    That is a great point, how we prejudge people becauae of their age , their looks , their education and so many other ways we use to discount others.
    Thanks for pointing that very important lesson out!

    I'm sure that we will be seeing a lot of this Brit. I guess she said that she was 47 and had never been kissed. Oprah would like to ask her about that!

  10. Thank you for this great link! I had heard about it on the View, but they showed a small clip-they didn't show the whole thing. And yes, what a shame that society in general would prejudge her based upon her appearance.
    Have you seen the utube clip of the 6 year old girl auditioning for the same show? I'll try to find the link for you. Thanks for thinking of me!!

  11. Google 'Connie Talcot' Britain's Got Talent
    Make sure you watch her first appearance where she sings 'Over the Rainbow' where she has her 2 front teeth missing[she was 6 years old].
    Make sure that you listen to her version of Whitney Houston's 'And I Will Always Love You"
    At that point her front teeth are back!!
    Let me know what you think.
    I don't know how to create a link for you to just click on.

  13. Hi Peg... I left a comment earlier and it didn't get posted. I must have goofed up somehow. I just wanted to tell you how much I loved this video! Too wonderful! I even told Tif to watch it. I also showed it to our house guest, Paul and I was behind him. Now understand that he is a wartime pilot. I actually saw him wipe away tears a couple of times. Seriously! He was whistling the tune off an on for the next few hours. Thanks so much for posting this.

  14. Tif;

    I know to see the faces of the crowds before and then after...it was priceless! I'm glad you liked it too!

    Kay;

    I can't believe that Paul was whistling her tune. and misty eyed. So glad that it appealed to so many.
    I've been humming the tune all day too. I love Les Miserable anyway but she is just brillant, I thought.
    You made me smile again, thanks Kay
