We will never forget.

September 11, 2001

"The little reed, bending to the force of the wind, soon stood upright again when the storm had passed over."
Aesop
Our people are like that reed.  Strong in the wind, standing upright again!

  2. I taped the news coverage, and I watch it over and over again. Still disbelieving the horror and pain caused. Each time I view the tape, I would tear as I watch people jumping off the tower.

What desperation, fear, sadness as they make that decision.

And I would tear again, when that tower went down.

    All those innocent lives lost.

When will the terror ever end. When will we ever find peace in this world again.

    God be with us all.

  3. I remember just where I was on that terrible day. I can still feel the shock when suddenly the world seemed less secure. My class kept looking at me to reassure them that everything was OK... but it wasn't.

  4. I, too, remember every moment of that day and how it changed the way I felt about so many things. Will never forget.

  7. That is the coolest 9/11 tribute I've seen today! I got a tear in my eye but in a joyful way. Simple touch is such a healing force and hugs are the best kind!

Working with senior citizens and kids, I get hugged all the time. I think I take it for granted...thank you for reminding me of its power.

  8. Kay;

We were in Dayton. Jim and Kevin were working together on trading downstairs and I was watching the news in the bedroom.
I watched the whole thing unfold.
We lived not that far from the Wright Pat Air force base and there were jsts above the house. Later I learned that one of the hijacked planes has flown into Ohio airspace and then turned around and crashed in Pennsyl.
The jsts were breaking the sound berrier and the noise was so scary!
You had to be brave for your kids, I could fall apart with Jim!
    Thanks Kay!
