Better then a Flu shot!

I have been seaching for the swine flu shot everywhere .
Since I can't seem to find any around here,
I thought that I would try this .
I'll let you know if it works on me!

Miss Beatrice
The church organist was in her eighties
   And had never been married.
She was admired for her sweetness
And kindness to all.
One afternoon the pastor
Came to call on her and she showed him
into her quaint sitting room.

She invited him to have a seat
 while she prepared tea...
As he sat facing her old Hammond organ,
The young minister Noticed a cut glass bowl
Sitting on top of it.
The bowl was filled With water, and in the water
Floated, of all things, acondom!

When she returned With tea and scones,
They began to chat.
The pastor tried to stifle his curiosity
About the bowl of water and its strange floater,
olit got the better of him and he could no longer resist.

'Miss Beatrice', he said,
'I wonder if you would tell me about this?'
Pointing to the bowl.
'Oh, yes,' she replied, 'Isn't it wonderful?
I was walking through
The Park a few months ago
And I found this little package on the ground.

The directions said To place it on the organ,
Keep it wet and that it would prevent
the spread of disease..
Do you know I haven't had the flu all winter.

  1. Oh girl! you are just too funny!! Great joke, thanks for the smile!

  2. Thanks LT, a girl can always use another smile to go with her chocolate!

  3. Ha! I've never heard that one before. Very cute.
    Have a great weekend.

  4. Oh, I love it! Peggy! And just the laugh I needed this evening! What a hoot!

    Enjoy your weekend!

  5. This is hilarious, Peg and I love your little dancing guy.

  6. The dancing guy is icing on the cake. :)

I once had a senior citizen who made "Rubber Trees" for people as gifts. At first glance they were fake potted plants with "round blossoms".

I asked why she made them. She replied that she got the biggest kick out of the young guy at the drug store, who was going nuts trying to figure out why an 85 year old lady kept coming in to buy the box. :)

Have a great weekend! Hope you're feeling better. Personally, I'd just prescribe chocolate. ;)

  7. Haha Peggy, you got me! I know I must have been smiling from ear to ear! Thanks for bringing me some cheer!

  8. Joanna;
