Microfiction Monday

Welcome to Microfiction Monday,
where a picture paints 140 characters.

Susan over at stonyriver hosts Microfiction Monday. I still can't believe that I can write something on my blog in under 140 words.

The rules are simple,to use Susan's picture she posts then compose a story up to 140 characters including spaces and punctuation.
Then hop on over to Susan's and leave your name. She even has a brilliant gadget to help us count.
Design 215's character counter

As Susan promises, it's fast, it's fiction, it's fun.

Here's this week's picture, and my story to go with it:

"Toto don't stand too close to that rainbow," Dorothy yelled to her dog.
Remember what happened the last time we took a ride over one!"

  1. Now my mind is wondering what happened last time. This was good, it left one thinking.

Do you think maybe they met up with Smurfette?

Oh to make the musical notes press the alt key and then type 13 or 14.

  4. Oh no! I laughed out loud. Some dogs never learn, and I'm glad mine's not the only one--

But now you've got me thinking, what DID happen to those two a few years down the road? I imagine Kansas was never quite the same in their eyes!

Thanks for playing, Peggy, I *loved* this!

  7. Barbara H;
I wondered the same thing. I had a lot more! The trick was to put a tickler in just 140.
Thanks Barbara H, and so nice to meet you!

I havet that catalog, I'm going to find it and look!
I do have a blue glass Cinderella slipper from childhood. It probably needs a red friend!
