Happy New Year ... 2010 !

I have spent the last week cleaning my house, getting it ready for the New Year. I am following the lead of my good friend Kay and her very wise Mother. over at Musings
Cleaning up all of the old to welcome in the new, Kay describes it so much better, very Zen!
Christmas was great, had all my chicks at home under the same roof, and I couldn't have been happier.
Jim and I are spending a quiet but festive, New Years Eve at home tonight. I just hope I make it to midnight before falling asleep!

I want to wish all of you a very Happy and Healthy New Year!

"The longer I live the more beautiful life becomes."
Frank Lloyd Wright

Thank you everyone!

  1. We too are staying in as well tonight. Perhaps watch a movie and have some nibblies and maybe champagne IF we don't fall asleep too early! I too have been cleaning up a storm ever since I read Kay's post about the cleaning! Now to the New Year all spic and span! Have a wonderful New Year!

  2. I'm staying home tonight too, but I'll be alone. John has to work 3 to 11 and I have to work again tomorrow. My ex always called New Year's Eve "Amateur Night". LOL

    Happy New Year!

  4. well I didn't clean up my house although we had no company so it's not too dirty. There's still time to clean off my desk-does that count? Happy new year.

  6. Happy New Year Peggy. I am staying home with my daughter tonight too. I can remember your first tentative blog steps, but look at your blog now! How did you get these cool snowflakes? I am so impressed.
Oh, BTW, did I give you my new blog address? http://mysewingobsession.blogspot.com/

  7. Art has been a busy beaver cleaning ALL the windows in the house. That took two days. Then we had a sudden rain fall that dirtied a third of them. Needless to say he was not a happy camper.

The house is pretty clean, I think. I don't want to know what I missed.

I'm so glad you had the whole crew over at your place. That is fabulous!

Have a MOST WONDERFUL and Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year to you to Cheryl, kind of nice to enjoy the simple pleasures. I'll probably make it to midnight but barely!
    Kay;

I have been inspired by you. My house is clean or as clean as it's gonna be. It just makes a lot of sense. I like when life makes sense. Thank you thank you for being such a good friend to me for all these years. You and Art have made such a difference in my life! I still remember many years ago when we shared fish eggs together on New Years!

  11. Well, my decorations are still up and I'm still enjoying their warmth and light. Soon I'll have to start putting away. I'll miss them.
Tom and I are going to a movie, and then we'll be back home in plenty of time to watch the fireworks on the Space Needle - on television.

  14. Well it wouldn't be a great New Year unless I poked my head in to say hello!

We stayed in too [after visiting with visiting relatives] and I was glad! I made it to midnight [barely] but at least I woke up with a clear head.

You were one of the joys I found last year and I look forward to what's to come. Here's wishing you and the ones you love the very best year ever!
