Cleaning up all of the old to welcome in the new, Kay describes it so much better, very Zen!
Christmas was great, had all my chicks at home under the same roof, and I couldn't have been happier.
Jim and I are spending a quiet but festive, New Years Eve at home tonight.
I want to wish all of you a very Happy and Healthy New Year!

Thank you everyone!
We too are staying in as well tonight. Perhaps watch a movie and have some nibblies and maybe champagne IF we don't fall asleep too early! I too have been cleaning up a storm ever since I read Kay's post about the cleaning! Now to the New Year all spic and span! Have a wonderful New Year!
ReplyDeleteI'm staying home tonight too, but I'll be alone. John has to work 3 to 11 and I have to work again tomorrow. My ex always called New Year's Eve "Amateur Night". LOL
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Here's to a happy, prosperous and healthy New Year to you and yours!!!
ReplyDeletewell I didn't clean up my house although we had no company so it's not too dirty. There's still time to clean off my desk-does that count? Happy new year.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Peggy, all the best to you and yours for 2010
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Peggy. I am staying home with my daughter tonight too. I can remember your first tentative blog steps, but look at your blog now! How did you get these cool snowflakes? I am so impressed.
ReplyDeleteOh, BTW, did I give you my new blog address? http://mysewingobsession.blogspot.com/
Hugs,
Julie
Art has been a busy beaver cleaning ALL the windows in the house. That took two days. Then we had a sudden rain fall that dirtied a third of them. Needless to say he was not a happy camper.
ReplyDeleteThe house is pretty clean, I think. I don't want to know what I missed.
I'm so glad you had the whole crew over at your place. That is fabulous!
Have a MOST WONDERFUL and Happy New Year!!!
Cheryl;
ReplyDeleteGosh we are twins...feels good to have a clean house to satrt the new year! Very calming. My husband and I have had a great New years eve so far. May it last all year.
Happy New Year to you to Cheryl, kind of nice to enjoy the simple pleasures. I'll probably make it to midnight but barely!
Kay;
I have been inspired by you. My house is clean or as clean as it's gonna be. It just makes a lot of sense. I like when life makes sense. Thank you thank you for being such a good friend to me for all these years. You and Art have made such a difference in my life! I still remember many years ago when we shared fish eggs together on New Years!
Joanie;
ReplyDeleteWe used to call tonight amature night too. I'm glad to be home in my warm little house. It's very cold outside my window.
There are many of us home tonight with you!
Happy New Year Joanie. You and John have had a heck of a year.
God bless you both!
Kay D;

Happy New Year to you too.
I think Microfictions Monday will be even better in 2010.
Happy, happy New Year to you, my dear friend! You are one of the lovely gifts I have discovered since I began blogging and, yes, we are like sisters in that respect -- and in other ways, too. Here's wishing you much love and joy and laughter, peace and prosperity in the coming year! Happy, Happy New Year, Peggy!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
Well, my decorations are still up and I'm still enjoying their warmth and light. Soon I'll have to start putting away. I'll miss them.
ReplyDeleteTom and I are going to a movie, and then we'll be back home in plenty of time to watch the fireworks on the Space Needle - on television.
Thank you Sylvia, let's have a great 2010 together!
