Below I have quoted a doctor who was a favorite of my children for many years. "Dr. Seuss," ( Theodor Seuss Geisel) is the doctors' name.
Dr Seuss authored many children's books including, The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
My three children just loved his unique style of rhyming along with his bizarre(but adorable)cartoon characters.

But you would be hiding under a big hat with that cat, if you were under the impression that his books were only for kids.
They also mean a lot to all of us big kids that are still young at heart!
Who better to quote during this wonderful season of Christmas, then Dr Seuss. Hope you enjoy!

How did it get so late so soon? Its night before its afternoon.
December is here before its June.
My goodness how the time has flown. How did it get so late so soon?”

And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow,
stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so?
It came without ribbons.
It came without tags.
It came without packages, boxes or bags.
And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before.
What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store.
What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.
Dr. Seuss

  5. I used to love to read Dr. Seuss stories to my class. They loved it and many of his stories sparked a lot of conversation. Dr. Seuss really captured the feel of the season didn't he? We just need to remember his message.

  10. My favorite is "Oh the places you'll go!"

It's a nice reminder that no matter how old you are, life is a journey with good, bad and fun. Two out of three isn't bad, huh?

    Have a good week!

  14. What great choices! I've been a parent, librarian and voluteer teacher's aide so long that I can recite the Grinch Who Stole Christmas by heart: it won me a bet a few Christmases ago too LOL. That's a message that never gets old, and in a recession year? Even better.
