Microfiction Monday #7
Welcome to Microfiction Monday,
where a picture paints 140 characters.
Susan over at Stonyriver hosts Microfiction Monday.
The rules are simple,to use Susan's picture she posts then compose a story up to 140 characters including spaces and punctuation.
Then hop on over to Susan's and leave your name. She even has a brilliant character counter to help us count.
As Susan promises, it's fast, it's fiction, it's fun.
The troll waits for Hermione under the stone bridge,
he won't miss his chance again.
He will have his reward and Potter will die!

ReplyDeleteSylvia
Lol. I havent read any of the Potter books, but obviously, Potter lives. So perhaps Hermione spotted him (the troll).
ReplyDeleteLove it.
LOL...this is a good one. Perfect for the picture :)
ReplyDeleteScratches his head and bum says to himself my name must of been potter

ReplyDeletePoor troll - Hermione is WAY too much woman for him!

ReplyDeleteSylvia;
ReplyDeleteThank you, and I agree this meme is a blast. I put off doing it for a while but am so glad that I jumped in and tried it!
.....and I'm so glad that you did the same!
Kristine;
ReplyDeleteYou're right, Hermione is no shrinking violet. She took care of he troll and saved Harry!
Thanks for coming by today!
Thom;
There you go again, leaving a great comment!
When I saw the under part of the bridge, I immediatly saw someone lurking there. Way my mind works, I guess!
Larry;
ReplyDeleteOur minds seem to be set on something scary under the bridge. Your red eyes fit my troll to a T.
This is expertis!
Kay;
Thank you, I know that you read HP, like I did. Have a great week!
Southlakemom;
You nailed it, Hermione has nothing to fear here! Thanks for coming by!
blueviolet;
Thank you, I usually go with my first impression. Sometimes that can be good and sometimes maybe not! But it's all just fun!
well since I haven't read the Potter books. Here's my take, used the word counter and it's 139 words. Coming out from under the dark bridge, they expected to see trolls but none were in sight. What a disappointment, but the day was overcast.
ReplyDeleteAh, we both took literary turns today! There can be all manner of things lurking under bridges!
ReplyDeleteNicely done Peggy, Love the Harry Potter angle.
ReplyDeleteshopannies
ReplyDeleteYes i was a Potter fan. My kids read the books and so did I.
Thanks so much for coming by and leaving a comment. Comments are part of the fun!
Lin F;
You should totally do this. I love reading your take evry week!
It seems so easy for you!
Barbara H;
You're right, dark, wet places scare me!
Under bridges always housed something sinister!
Have a great day!
Bill;
ReplyDeleteYou're made me smile from the first sentence. Funny stuff and well written Bill!
Ha! I thought of trolls, too. We have a single story of what's under a bridge from childhood.
ReplyDeleteOMG, Poor Hermione -- at least he didn't come after her in the *toilet* again ROFL
ReplyDeleteBridges and trolls do go together -- but I never expected Harry at all. Excellent!
First50;
ReplyDeleteTrolls are from my childhhod, a fear of scary places and Rumpelstiltkin for example!
Nice that we tell a different side of the troll theme. That's waht makes it fun for me!
The toilet scene was where my trolls brother was trying to attack Hermione. Harry came to her rescue then, but under the bridge was going to be a dfferent story.
ReplyDeleteActually, I know the end of this story too, Hermione did the troll in all by herself. She is quite the wonder women and she knows majic! A very well rounded girl it seems!
I have so much fun doing your meme, thank you for your encouragement!
i'd say the troll has no idea what he's up for
ReplyDeleteenjoyed this
Thanks Juliana;
ReplyDeleteI don't think trolls are very smart!!
Thank you!
Okay Sister, now I get it. :)
ReplyDeleteBut it DOES look like a Troll hangout, doesn't it?
You're really getting good at this...I'm glad you came to play!
Awesome!! I love HP! What a creative spin on the books and to incorporate it into this picture--great :)
ReplyDeleteJM

ReplyDeleteI love to play, it seems. Thank you so much for encouraging me the whole way! The people doing this meme are just so darn nice.
My friend Kay wrote one today and Sylvia joined a couple of weeks ago.
Jillien;
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm so glad that you are a fan too! I remember a troll being in the bathroom with Hermione once and Harry took care of it!
This meme is fun and you get to meet so many nice nice people!
Nice to meet you!
Oooh I hope not, I'm rather partial to Harry! Hope you're doing okay Peggy.
ReplyDeleteSarah;
ReplyDeleteHarry is fine, Hermione took care of the troll this time !
Thanks for coming by Sarah;
