Dancing again!

I'm back from my Chicago run to see my Oncologist and for the last few days, I have been taking a little hammock time for myself.
I just wanted to let all of my sweet, wonderful blogging friends know that my blood work was better and I truly believe that all your good wishes and prayers beforehand had something to do with it.

My husband and I were just exhilarated and exhausted all at the same time.
We got up early (5;30 am), left at 7am, and only encountered one accident and one stalled car on the expressways of Chicago. We arrived 10 minutes before our exam time (11 am) and after bathroom visits and settling into our seats, we were called into the examine room.
( This was really great because the air seemed to be off in the outer room and was on full blast in the exam room. Nice!)

My blood work that I had drawn the Wednesday before down here in Central Illinois, was incomplete. The Analyzer was down and only a partial read was sent up to Chicago.
But what was there was good news. Yay! My DR followed up a few days later with the rest of the numbers, all good news.
I have a few more Dr visits down here in the next few weeks, but we don't have to go back to Chicago for three months!

After my exam was finished, we hustled to the car so that we could meet our dear friends, Art and Kay (Musings) for lunch up in Wilmette. They treated us to a wonderful meal and gifted us with kona coffee( a huge fav.)and chocolates. OMG...two of my favorite things. We had such a great time talking about potty training and so many other adventures of out lives, living in the village.( What we call our old neighborhood.)
The time flew by so fast and before I realized it, we were hugging each other and saying our goodbye's :(

(A very kind women took this picture of all of us below.)

Again, thank you for all your kind words and wishes. I'll see some of you for MFM on Sunday and I hope all of you have a wonderful Memorial day!

  4. What a relief to get such happy news, Peg. We were so excited to see you both. Art said you two just don't change... every bit as gorgeous as you always are. Thank goodness that the remaining bloodwork turned up more good news! Phew!

Have a terrific Memorial Day weekend! Today is perfect. I was told to enjoy today because tomorrow is promising to be muggy. Hmmm... that's like our muggy Kona weather.

Thank you, Jim and I say the same things about you and Art. We loved seeing you both. Only thing that would have made it better would have been if I could hav gone over to Tif's new house and saw them. Next time!
Enjoy today, tomorrow will be more humid and showers I think. But you remember what that's like here!
Have a safe trip to California and then back home!
