i carry your heart with me(i carry it in my heart)i am never without it(anywhere i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing,my darling)i fear no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you here is the deepest secret nobody knows(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

Thank you for this post. I love ee cummings.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful - I am going to print that out. Are things any warmer over your way? If not I will send some of the heat we are having. I think global warming is well and truly upon us. Take Care.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked it also. My birthday is in February...the day after Valentine's Day.so I'm celebrating all month!!
You must be getting some of our global warming this year on top of your own, cause we're colder then we have been in years! So send it this way...!
I've read this before. It really is great and so beautiful. My sister was born on Valentine's day and I love the month of February because it reminds me so much of her sweetness.
ReplyDeleteVery special poem. I enjoyed reading it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking a look at my hawk painting.
Beautiful, I love EE Cummings works

ReplyDeleteThank you,
I agree ...I read the poem to Jimmy, not sure how much sunk in. Every February I drag it out and give it a go again!

Sorry...I'll try to hold back on the mushy stuff. But it's almost Valentine's Day and it's nice to talk about something else besides how fast we're all going broke!
Thanks for stopping by and giving me a try. Hopefully I didn't scare ypu away!
Sarah;
