Happy Birthday America !!!!!
On this day we celebrate the 233 birthday of the United States of America.
I can't help but think of all the men in our armed forces, past and present, that put their lives on the line everyday to help to keep us safe and free.
Below is one of my favorite quotes by Winston Churchill.
I apologise for quoting a Brit on America's birthday, the irony does not escape me, but it sums up how proud I am today the best.
"Never has so much been owed by so many to so few"
Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965)
I hope all of you in blogy-land have a wonderful and safe 4TH of July.
I'll see you back here on the other side!

Happy 4th, Peg! Remember the 4th of July parades in Evanston? Weren't those great times? Sigh...
ReplyDeletethe quote by churchill is very appropriate as the USA joined WWII and was appreciated by all of Europe who were needing help to stop the invasion or the occupation of their countries. many of our soldiers ended up buried on their soil far away from their own homeland of America...
