Microfiction Monday # 36

Welcome to Microfiction Monday,
where a picture paints 140 characters.

Susan over at Stonyriver hosts Microfiction Monday The rules are simple,to use Susan's picture she posts then compose a story up to 140 characters including spaces and punctuation.

So here is this weeks picture and my story to go with.

Didn't Little Stevie Wonder sound good on the radio, Lolly?
I got to get you home early.
Seems like I've waited my whole life to marry you!

Now leap on over to Susan's and leave your name. She even has a brilliant
character counter to help us count.
As Susan promises, it's fast, it's fiction, it's fun!

  1. Sounds like Lolly and her pal are travelers-- time travelers, that is! Stevie Wonder didn't debut his first record until 1961. LOL! And was the Time Machine on the blinky? I'm just guessing that's why the man has his shoes off--> He and Lolly had to walk their trip and now his dogs are barking! LOL!

    Just funning with you, Peggy! Clever tale indeed!

  2. Come to think of it, my two mM characters must be time travlers, too. I don't think people were yet with the Dr. Scholl's gel, waay way back. Then, again, "gellin'" probably has a whole assortment of meanings (a-hem), if you let your mind have at it. LOL!

    I think I'd better quit while I'm ahead.

    I owe you the biggest Thank You, Peggy -- I'll post about it tomorrow with a few photos to explain. I hope you laugh too!

  6. Sparkle;

    I'm sorry if you thought my story was before 1961. I didn't do a very good job of explaining that the Stevie Wonder reference. Time travelors works for me though. Thanks for stopping by and giving me a laugh. Have a nice week.

  16. I love seeing Little Stevie Wonder and Little Michael Jackson on the TV at the Silver Diner and embarrassing the heck out of my kids as I sing alone with them! Thanks for the memory of that, Peggy!

  17. Don't you worry about that time travel thing. My grandpa was still pulling a horse drawn hay wagon way into the 70's. Your story is just fine and quite romantic just the way it is.
