My Mother's Place

Posted by Picasa

"HOW WONDERFUL IT IS THAT NOBODY NEED WAIT A SINGLE MOMENT BEFORE STARTING TO IMPROVE THE WORLD"
Anne Frank

My husband and I went to visit my Mom last week in Dayton Ohio and saw so many beautiful trees and flowering bushes already in bloom. When we left Illinois every tree was in the early budding phase but nothing had actually bloomed yet.
These flowering crab trees are at the entrance of my Mom's condo complex and they are just so beautiful every year.
Be sure to click on the photo , it just gets better!

  5. WOW!! Perfect time for a visit to see your mom. Great quote! Anne Frank is a heroine of mine. I played her in my college years. What wisdom she had... far beyond her years. I suppose that's what hardship and experience can bring to a soul.

  15. The flowers are beautiful, but the dark twisty branches half-hidden in them make the trees just wonderful! Thank you for that photo, and I hope you had a wonderful trip and visit.

My two sons went to Ohio State and my oldest who lives in DC still goes to at least one game a year. So we root for the home team!

I know that you love old trees and their characteristic woody branches and these 8 to 10 old trees are full of twisty branches. So glad you liked them .

  19. Loved the trees perfect for the first of May. We are passed the blooming stage here (probably in more ways than one). If I go up into the hills a bit there are still some beautiful dogwoods blooming.
